Hard Music and Sounds United welcomes all bassheads to the ninth edition of the annual Summer Open-Air Drum and Bass Festival !
The festival will take place near the village of Katina - located 10 km from of Bulgaria's capital Sofia.
The festival starts at 1800 on Friday - July 3rd, and continues with a non-stop music program 'till the late Sunday - July 5th morning. The Festival's program lists more than 30 acts on stage with participants from Serbia, Netherlands, Canada, Greece, Great Britain, Germany and of course - Bulgaria.
More than ever, this year's festival focus will be towards drum and bass and genres alike. The specific 40-hours long lineup and extraordinary format turn HMSU's Summer Open-air Drum and Bass Festival into a one of a kind show in South Eastern Europe. It is not a surprise that many think of the festival as of the natural meeting point for drum and bass fans.
In addition to the diverse stage program, the festival offers a number of side activities and extras such as: massive sound system and lights show, guarded camping area, oldskool/newskoool gaming activities, free firewood, 24/7 medical assistance, et al.
As a rule of thumb, festival’s camping area is directly exposed to the sound system and the dance area. All camp facilities will provide a 24/7 service including – security, bar and drinks, medical service, water tank and showers, firewood. There will also be additional activities such as off-stage performances, chai shop, table soccer, Playstation 3 and of course - sparking water to take cool the summer heat.
H.M.S.U. welcomes all young talents and their musical efforts. An official mix contest is now announced. Competitors may submit their mixes to hmsu.org no later than 15th June. Voting will take place online and all regular HMSU.org users may take part. The winner gets prime time on stage.
A unique feature of the festival is its unprecedented pricing scheme. One can get three days for 25BGN, at doors - 30BGN. Second night tickets cost 25 BGN. This alone turns the Summer Open-air Drum and Bass Festival into one of the most affordable events of its kind - not only in the region, but in Europe as well.
Organizers would like to gently ask all visitors to keep their cigarette ashes in the free personal ashtrays everyone gets at the entrance.
